Precautions for the maintenance, installation and use of U-shaped bends
The scope of use of U-bend pipes is relatively broad, and they are often used in engineering industries such as electric power, navigation, petroleum, and chemical engineering. However, due to the obvious wrinkles and waves in U-bend pipes, especially when conducting radial bending, the wrinkles and waves in the inner arc are more obvious, which has a serious impact on the appearance quality of the entire product.
What aspects need special attention when maintaining U-bend pipes?
1、 If U-shaped bends require long-term storage, they need to be regularly inspected, and the exposed processing surfaces should be properly cleaned to remove dirt. U-shaped bends should exist in a clean, dry, and ventilated indoor area. Stacking or direct outdoor storage is strictly prohibited.
Drying and ventilation of U-shaped bends, ensuring the cleanliness and cleanliness of the product, and storing them in accordance with regulations will bring advantages in the maintenance of U-shaped bends, and will not affect the normal use of the product. Therefore, everyone needs to pay special attention to this point.
2、 When installing a U-bend, you can directly install the elbow of the bend on the pipeline and install it according to the location where it is needed. Under normal circumstances, you can install the U-bend anywhere in the pipeline, but you must ensure the convenience of operation and testing.
In addition, it is necessary to monitor the flow direction of the medium and the upward flow of the longitudinal valve for U-shaped bends. Therefore, the bends need to be installed on a horizontal line. When installing elbows, the most important thing to pay attention to is the tightness to prevent any leakage and cause serious impact on the operation of the entire pipeline.
3、 When using U-shaped elbow mounted ball valves, gate valves, and globe valves, they can only be fully opened or closed, without adjusting the flow rate, to avoid serious wear on the sealing surface. A sealing device can be installed between the gate valve and the globe valve, and tightening the position of the handwheel can prevent leakage.
